Sept 22 German Worship Service to be broadcasted in Germany

Do you want to be on (German) TV? On Sunday, September 22nd, the ‘Zweite Deutsche Fernsehen’ (public broadcast station in Germany) will record a worship service at St. Matthew’s. This service will be broadcast in Germany on Sunday, 9/29.

The service’s subject will be ‘Du erforscht mich und kennst mich’ (‘You have searched me and known me’ – Psalm 139:1) and deals with the effects Artificial Intelligence has on our lives.

Bp. Mark Holmerud of the Sierra Pacific Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and Hans-Ulrich Südbeck, German Consul General in San Francisco, will participate. The mixed choir of the ‘Oakland Turnverein’ will sing Schubert’s ‘Deutsche Messe’ after the service.

The service will begin at 11 a.m., but please make sure to be there by 10:30 a.m. (everyone has to be in their seat so that filming can begin promptly).
